From Pain to Purpose: Creating A One of Kind Program That Creates Lasting Freedom from Pornography & Sex Addiction

Meet The Founder

Porn  and Sex Addiction Recovery Coach | Behavior Change Specialist | Certified Health Coach \ NLP Practitioner

Jessica is the founder of Leap of Courage, a pornography and sex specific addiction recovery coaching program. An experienced behavior change specialist, she helps individuals break free from pornography addiction by addressing the root cause most recovery programs overlook—the subconscious mind.

Her groundbreaking approach is rooted in neuroscience, trauma-informed healing, and compassionate coaching.

Pornography Addiction Recovery Based On Science and Compassion

Rather than relying on surface-level strategies or willpower alone, the Leap of Courage program guides men through deep, lasting transformation. Members learn to rewire the nervous system, retrain thought patterns, and restore a sense of purpose and self-control.

The Leap of Courage porn addiction treatment program is unlike any other program in scope, depth, and approach. Thousands of men have been helped by Jessica’s guidance.

With a degree in Biological Sciences, and as a health coach from the highly-respected Kresser Institute, Jessica brings an incredibly deep understanding to the table to elevate her client’s physical and emotional well-being.

Her skills truly bridge the gap between science and real-life transformation.

Transformative Experiences That Led Jessica to Create This Program

Jessica’s expertise is both professional and personal.

Early in her career, Jessica worked in addiction recovery for teenagers. One of her most transformative experiences was leading 49-day backpacking and ocean kayaking expeditions through remote Alaska with teens overcoming addiction. The incredible transformation during those seven week programs instilled her core belief: healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it requires structure, challenge, and connection.

Later, when facing her own health crisis, an incredibly traumatic experience, she found little relief through traditional medicine. That’s when Jessica took her healing into her own hands. Studying neurobiology, trauma, and behavioral science, she created a protocol that worked to overcome difficult physical and emotional challenges, and successfully returned to health in a more powerful way than ever before.

The Broken Brain docuseries (Trauma Episode) featured Jessica’s healing story and gave her a platform to speak about effects of trauma on the nervous system, and tools that now make restoration possible.

Her own personal story also includes experiencing the painful effects of PDST-induced Hyper-Sexuality Disorder (disregulated libido from trauma-induced oxytocin deficiency), along with living with her boyfriend who had a severe porn addiction. She saw how he suffered immensely, and finding compassion for him was part of her own healing journey.  Being deeply impacted, Jessica knew that her education, professional experience, and personal journey had placed her on a trajectory to bring science-based healing to men with pornography addiction.

Today, the founder's mission is to help adult men stop living in shame by be being out of control and start experiencing freedom.

Whether you're just beginning the journey or feeling burned out by failed attempts to quit porn, Jessica offers a shame-free program which includes coursework, coaching, and a weekly optional Bravery Bootcamp calls for connecting with the community.

Leap of Courage changes lives. It is a science-based path to TRUE transformation.

The program's scientific editor is a recovered porn addict

"I am a former professor, with 70 peer-reviewed publications. I was also a porn addict. It started innocently enough, with occasional internet sessions, but after 15 years, it had escalated to criminal behavior. I filmed a woman in the shower without her knowledge. I am so horrified by this, and deeply sorry for all the people I hurt, including this brave young woman who had the courage to press charges. That put an end to my 23-year marriage, my job, and my home. I was even homeless for a short time, until a friend recommended that I use my writing skills to work as an editor. That's how I came to work at "Leap of Courage". I thought of myself as a decent person, with strong self-control. I cared deeply about people, including all those that I hurt.

Leap of Courage can help. In helping others, I hope to help myself regain some of the self-respect that I lost. I add my critical scientific insights to the program to the expert team already in place. Although I don't deny the power of some people's connection to the spiritual, I prefer evidence-based treatment. This program has both."
